Hi Shilpa, your blog is amazing!!!! I happened to visit your blog. Its really amazing!!! I am interested in crochet.you had mentioned that you bought thread from Bangalore before you went to US. Could you please suggest some shops/places where I can get crochet thread in Bangalore?

Shilpa: Thanks Lekshmi. I bought it from Jayanagar 4th block. There is a small shop which sells toys/bangles etc. I don’t know the name. I think there are yarn shops in commercial street too. I had googled for “yarn shops Bangalore” few days back and found many stores.

Your paintings are great and lovely.I do love painting and got enrolled in a class recently.I would like to know about Bob Ross.Could you please let me know how to enroll to his classes.I live in ohio,does he conduct any classes/workshops in ohio.I would love to hear from you.

Oh my Shilpa! Those are awesome! I didn’t think you were so advanced when we talked about your paintings at lunch! I can see how you improved from the 1st shop but even the early ones are terrific! Even if you had some help correcting things!

Hi Shilpa

The paintings are stunning..when u said u r a beginner are u in the true sense one..because it doesnt reflect in your work. Did u ever sketch anything before.. or is this your very first sketches.. I used to paint when i n school but that was it.. so i m nowhere close to drawing. but after seeing yours, i must say i have been inspired to try my hand in painting.. is it true that a beginner too can start off and do something as wonderful asyours.

Shilpa: Vandana, yes, I never painted/sketched before. I had one namesake painting class in highschool, which cannot be called as “painting”. It was just to bring the awareness about different color combinations. I never painted or sketched anything after that(except for my biology classes which never came out good). This is my first ever try at it.

Hi Shilpa, i have been away for a while and when i got back now to this site i was amazed by the things you keep doing.. cooking, cake decorating and now these breathtaking oil-paintings!!
You inspire me. is it really true that someone who never painted can also do painting with Bob Ross class?
I am really keen to learn something new.

Shilpa: Yes Neeta, it is true. As I said earlier, I had never painted before (apart from the one painting class in highschool, which cannot even be called as painting class. It was almost non-existing).
