Front tie top
I bought this bulky yarn from Hobby Lobby because it was soft like cotton. Then I started thinking what to make with it. I got a front tie crocheted top instructions in one of the craft shops. I changed it a bit to make it short top and also full sleeves. The garment is so soft. I love it. Instead of the front tie, I attached some buttons to it. Somehow I am not able to take good pictures of it. But I simply adore this top.

Dear Shilpa.
I have been following both your websites and found it an enjoyable experience. Both you and Nupur have inspired me to try out knitting. I learnt a few knitting basics yesterday and found knitting easier than crochet. I live in Bangalore and on my last trip to Comm. Street, I was able to find knitting needles and some acrylic yarn. Would appreciate if you had any leads on getting some yarn for knitting in Bangalore. As far as I know, only acrylic yarn is available .. so I can only dream about soft yarn like this :’(…
I loved top and the women’s vest you made.. Would love to see more of your creations..

Shilpa: I used to buy yarn from Jayanagar (Is it 7th block which has the vegetable market?). You could try in Malleshwaram too. Since most of the yarn available here is made in India, I am sure you will find these in India.
Hi Shilpa, this top looks really really good specially the yarn used in this makes it look more good and gives a soft feeling of it. i dunno what they call this type of yarn in india. hey one more thing i would like to know, what does felting means in crocheting terms. can u plz explain it.
Shilpa: Please read about it here. Its same for crocheting too.
