This is the first ever painting I have done on my own without any help. I wanted to paint a scene from my native place in India. So I decided to give it a try. I know I have a lot to improve. But this is a start.

The inspiration for this painting is a photo taken by my brother

Painted on Jan 20 – 2008 – After the painting was finished, we sprinkled some glitter on it to show snow. So this looks shiny(I could not capture that in picture).

This time, along with the normal size(16 X 20 in above picture), I also painted a small one of 8 X 10, just for fun. I have done this before for 2 other paintings(forgot to take pictures). Its a lot of fun to make these tiny ones. I usually frame them and carry these to office. Even though every small detail cannot be easily worked on these, they kind of look cute.
